Easter 2013

Easter Egg hunt before church.

Taylor trying to get the egg before Ann. He really gets into these Easter egg hunts.
Kurt was in the house. He says he's too old to run around the yard.
We colored eggs.

Some of my favorite shots from 2012

Since I didn't post a single thing in 2012, I thought I pick some of my favorite pictures.
Kimmy and dad.

Grandma House came to visit (May 2012)

Happy girl!!

Enjoying Lincoln with Peggy.

Ed got to go to CA to see his mom.

Time for school. A sad day for me.

I got to goto Outerbanks with my family. Loved it!!

My FAV picture of Taylor. So cute!!

The girls just can't get enough of Dad.

Kimmy at a PreK field trip.

Halloween.  Ann is a cowgirl, Kimmy is a princess. Cicilia is our neighbor.

Dug up the beautiful rose bushes and planted grass. The bushes were popping all the kids soccer and basketballs. It was sad to see them go, but necessary.

Fall was pumpkin and major tomoto time!

We had a membership at the Omaha Zoo. It is an awesome place and the kids loved it!

Kurt turns 14!!!  Here is his birthday pumpkin pie. He's almost as tall as me now.

Ann and Kimmy's best friends. They always have a blast with them!

Kurt at a piano recital. He did great. His piano teacher is on the far left.

Another zoo picture. This gorilla really liked Taylor and Ann. He tried to kiss Ann.

Ann posing by a lizard at the zoo.

March 2013

Taylor worked on his Science project with the help of dad, Ann and Kimmy.  He wanted to find out what things in the house have the most germs. He tested the remote, the phone, toilet seat, door handles, and the fridge handle.

Ed's 42nd Birthday on March 23rd.
That cake doesn't look great, but it was delicious!!!

Some Upgrades in 2013

Good Bye Old Van
Hello New Van (Feb. 2013)
You have to look closely to see the difference. We switched our Nissan Minivan for a newer Toyota Sienna minivan.  I was sad to say goodbye to my Nissan because I have loved it.  But it only took a little while to learn to love my new van.  It gets better gas mileage, has tons more room, is smooth and has some neat gadgets.  The kids love the automatic sliding doors.  They fight over who gets to open or close them.  Overall, I feel very spoiled to have such a nice vehicle.   Thanks Ed!!

Another Upgrade (Anniversary gift)

We thought we'd join the rest of the world and get a Kindle Fire HD (sort of like an Ipad but cheaper).  The girls LOVE it.  This is a picture of them both playing on the Kindle and Ipod. I don't know if this is a step forward for our family or a step backward. ??

Bring in 2013

The Klondike Campout.  In January, Ed and the boys went on the anual Boy Scout Campout.  This was Taylor's first year to go.  Luckily the weather was very mild!

Taylor's favorite part was the food.  Kurt enjoyed the sledding competition.

Ed's truck loaded down. The boys eating a meal before the campout.  And the tents sitting in a field of grass.  That's the best you can get around here. Sadly, there are no mountains, streams or much of anything.

Taylor's Arrow of Light Ceremony

Taylor "crossing over" to Boy Scouts. Now he is a "real" scout and gets to join Ed and Kurt.  Last picture is Kimmy and I enjoying the Pack Meeting and watching Taylor get his awards.

Gingerbread Houses

We made gingerbread houses from scratch this year. The kids loved it! So did Ed and I. Kurt didn't make a house, but helped everyone and ate a bunch of candy.

Taylor's house started out really sweet and cute (as you can see in the first picture). Then he begged Dad to make him red frosting (which I refused to make). With the red frosting to inspire him and Dad's helpful tips, Taylor's house turned in to a slaughter house. So sad
